The bay of the Mont Saint Michel
The Region of the bay of the Mont Saint-Michel and Villedieu offers a lot of choice:

Granville: between the sea and the countryside
Granville is a seaside port steeped in martime history situated to the west, 30 kilometres from Villedieu-les-Poêles, offering not only picturesque countryside, but also the reputed sealife centre of Granville. It is also where the ferry departs for the Channel Islands and the Isle of Chausey.
Under the wings of an archangel, travel back in history:
To the south west, approximately 45 kilometres from Villedieu les Poêles you will find one of the seven marvels of the world: The Mont Saint Michel whose ancient manuscripts in colour have only recently been made accessible to the public and are on view at the Scriptorial of Avranches.

Imagine an area full of charm and mystery
To the south-east towards the waterfalls of Mortain, another Normandy awaits you: against a green and woody backdrop, you will be at the entrance of the Parc Normandie Maine.
The D Day Beaches
The best way to commence a visit to the D Day beaches is to start at the Mémorial de Caen, then follow, step by step the other beaches: Pégasus Bridge, Arromanches, Utah and Omaha beach, The pointe du Hoc.
