Visits / Tuesday Market

All year long there are two markets each week in Villedieu-les-Poêles: one large market Tuesday morning and a small market Friday morning.

The small market

Every Friday morning :
Situated in the Place des Halles, (near the Mediathèque/library) here you will find a number of local producers of local produce: andouille (norman speciality sausage), eggs, cream, poultry, fish, seafood, fruit and vegetables…, feast to your hearts' content!
 

The large market

Every Tuesday morning :
Villedieu les Poêles has one of the largest markets in southern Manche. The large market is situated in over four areas : The Place des Halles, the Place des Costils, the Place de la République and the Place du Presbytère.  In the Place des Halles you will find a number of producers of local Norman produce: andouille (norman speciality sausage) cream, butter, eggs, poultry, honey & seafood.  In the Place du Presbytère and the Place de la République, there are mainly sellers of fruit and vegetables, flowers, clothes, linen and gifts. (many novel items)!  Not to mention the food and refreshments – just follow the inviting aroma!
