Pewter has been used since ancient times.  In the Middle Ages it was used for tableware and medical instruments.  Towards the end of the 17th century it's utilisation declined with the development of china tableware.  This workshop, still in operation demonstrates the history of the working of pewter.  There is a film of about 15 minutes duration and a visit afterwards to the exhibition, where a stunning collection awaits you.
