A craft village where time seems to have stood still...

Located in an old pottery hamlet, the Ger ceramics museum allows you to discover the life and work of the potters of Ger from the 15th to the beginning of the 20th century. The presence of an exceptional clay enabled them to make stoneware pots, which were mainly used to preserve and transport food and were exported as far as Canada. A selection of objects, atmospheric displays and playful modules allow you to immerse yourself in the organisation of this pottery community, to understand the process of making pots and to learn about daily life in the past. The museum also displays a collection of contemporary pieces.

As a "centre for the promotion of ceramics", the museum also offers a beautiful library, workshops for young ceramic entrepreneurs and introductory and advanced courses in the art of pottery.

Don't miss it: the Potters' Festival, which takes place every last weekend in August, with a fire night and a potters' market.
